The ECO, introduced in 2015, is the economy range ⁠— as its name suggests ⁠— TWSBI fountain pens. Despite its affordable price, it still offers a writing experience comparable to more expensive fountain pens!


It features a piston-filling mechanism, allowing it to hold ink directly into its transparent barrel. Say goodbye to disposable cartridges and removable reservoirs!



Its translucent, hexagonal cap screws on and can also be securely placed on the end of the pen body.

TWSBI is a Taiwanese brand founded in 2009 by TaShin Precision. The company had over 50 years of experience manufacturing plastic and metal OEM parts for various companies, such as Lego, but wanted to start manufacturing its own line of products. In 2009, TaShin Precision founded TWSBI (pronounced "twizbi").

TWSBI's name is inspired by the phrase San Wen Tong (Pavilion of Three Cultures). Wen translates to language and culture and Bi literally means writing instruments. The letters TWS are the backward initials of San Wen Tong .

San Wen Tong is also a nod to the famous Pavilion of the Three Treasures of the Qianlong Emperor, the room where he spent his time admiring three calligraphic masterpieces of the Qing Dynasty: The Mid-Autumn Letter by Wang Xianzhi, The Letter to Bo Yuan by Wang Xun and The Clear Sky after a Sudden Snowfall by Wang Xizhi.
